New from Fast Forward Video, the Recon DVR is an ultracompact board-level digital video recorder that can record up to 40 hours of video with a 71 x 99mm footprint that is the same as a laptop hard drive. In addition to its ability to record video as QuickTime files for easy viewing and editing, the Recon now includes the option of a USB 2.0 port to download data directly, as well as a CompactFlash slot to record to CF cards.Additionally, the Recon is the first board-level recorder to offer SDI, which is commonly used in broadcast and high-end recording.
